Have you ever wanted to be in a Soap Box Derby? Now is your chance.
Team members of the Luther Fire Department along with Opus Entertainment will host the inaugural Soap Box Derby on Main Street on June 3, 2023.
There is no cost to enter your Soap Box Car, or to attend this event. We encourage every business, athletic team and anyone who has a creative mind to build a car and enter it in this year’s Soap Box Derby.
- Three categories: child race/ adult race / doubles (two-seater or side car)
- Event is Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 3 PM.
- Races begin at 5 PM.
- Donations will be accepted during the event to benefit the Luther Fire Department.

Live music, games, activities, street vendors and food trucks will be set up for the event.
After the race, visit the entries during a “Show & Shine” event near vendor row. The winners from the races as well as the show and shine event will be announced during our award ceremony at 8 PM (ish).
