Resources for Parents Following Events in Parkland, FL

(From Luther Police Chief David Randall)

I reached out to find resources that may assist parents with incidents such as this because of all the incidents going on today. I hope this will help some of the parents like myself.

Following the recent school shooting in Parkland, there have been several hoax threats around the country, including in Oklahoma.  As a result, I’ve seen several parents express concern about how to respond themselves and how to talk to their children about it.  Attached are a few links to publications on the National Child Traumatic Stress Network website that might be helpful in having difficult conversations.
