Due to the untimely resignation of Town Trustee, Ron Henry, the Board of Trustees must appoint a Town citizen to serve in his place until the April 2019 election. If you would like to be considered for this appointment, please provide the following information to Town Manager Scherrie Pidcock at Town Hall by Friday, March 9th at 4:30pm:
1. A recent resume
2. A brief statement explaining why you would like to serve the Town in the capacity of Trustee
According to State Statute (Title 11 Sections 8-101, 16-109, 16-110) to be considered for a position as Town Trustee, you must meet the following requirements. You must be:
1. A registered voter at an address within the legal Town limits
2. A resident at an address within the legal Town limits
3. A resident at an address within the legal Town limits for at least 6 months prior to the appointment
An appointment will be made by majority vote of all remaining elected Trustees at the regular Town business meeting, March 13th, 2018. The newly appointed member will be sworn in by the Town Clerk prior to final adjournment of that meeting.
